A week ago. I search for information on the Manhasset Model #48 Sheet Music Stand, so i would like to describe here.
This stand is used in two of the three schools I try and that is what I bought it for my use. It is solid but reasonable weight, tolerates being throw in the trunk with a bunch of tools and supports and stays put, even when used at full height. the lip is a sheet of aluminium, easy to get on and off clip. the powder coated surface eventually will begin to show scratches and scrapes, but no more than any other stand out there. and Yes, the "clutch" will give out eventually, but it is cheap and easy to replace. This is far outweighed by the convenience of being able to adjust the stand height without unscrewing anything. Save this rare (it didn't happen during the three years of weekly use) repair, it will last forever.
